Rileigh ‘Ri’ Wingfield

WINGFIELD

Rileigh “Ri” Wingfield, 15s, a resident of Elkins, passed away Friday evening, March 6, 2026 as a result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

She was born June 22, 2010, in Elkins, a daughter of Dustin Lee Wingfield and Miranda Chidester Wingfield, both of Elkins.

Also surviving are her brothers, Noah Wingfield, of Okinawa, Japan, Gavin and Aidan Wingfield, both of Elkins; paternal great grandmother, Barbara Arbogast, of Elkins; paternal grandmother, Susan “Susie” Moore and husband, John, of Elkins; maternal grandparents, Dale and Robin Chidester of Buckhannon; her great-aunt Sara Trader, of Elkins; an uncle, Dustin Chidester, of Buckhannon; two great-uncles, Roger Raikes and Billy Arbogast; and many additional relatives also survive.

Also preceding her in death was her paternal grandfather, Leroy Wingfield.

“Ri” was a sophomore at Elkins High School where she played on the softball team and was a member of Young Life. Her family and friends were important to her and she loved spending time with them. he enjoyed the outdoors especially hiking, jeep riding, children and animals.

“Ri’s” presence and her smile brought joy to everyone who knew her.

Friends may call from 3 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Rivers of Living Water Ministries, 1869 Beverly Pike, Elkins.

A private funeral service will be held and interment will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery near East Dailey.

To honor Rileigh’s love of animals and babies, the family request flowers be omitted and contributions be made to the Randolph County Humane Society, PO Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 and the WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s Hospital, 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506 in memory of Rileigh.
