Carol Lynn Woolridge
WOOLRIDGE
Carol Lynn Woolridge, 79, a resident of Beverly and for the last two years, a resident of Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center, passed from this life Friday, April 10, 2026.
Carol was born Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1946, in Richmond, Virginia, a daughter of the late Edwin Homer Woolridge Sr. and Evelyn Jean Lowman Woolridge.
Left to cherish Carol’s memory is one son, Daniel Galiszewski and wife, Mariann, of Beverly; one daughter, Tina Bennett and husband, Danny, of Elkins; two sisters, Joan Harlow of Richmond, Virginia, and Gail Wilkes and husband, Duane, of Phoenix, Arizona; one sister-in-law, Joyce Taylor; six grandchildren, Amber Lankey, Emily Galiszewski, Tiffany Smith, Ashlee Swiger, Alan Bennett and Evelyn Bennett; nine great-grandchildren, Kayden, Peyton, Gannon, Jaden, Grayson, Manuel, Allison, Bennett and Riley; and several nieces; one nephew; and her dear friends, Pam “Reese” Taylor, Betty Johnson and Judy Patton.
Preceding Carol in death besides her parents are her brother, Edwin Woolridge Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Otis Harlow and Thomas Taylor; and one sister-in-law, Sharon Woolridge.
Carol attended the schools of Richmond, Virginia, and had worked as a purchasing agent for Rich Food which later became Super Valu. She was an avid softball player in her early years, and she enjoyed singing, cooking, and playing card and board games. During 2012, she moved to Beverly to help with the grandchildren with whom she loved to spend time. No one would go hungry around Carol as she was willing to feed everyone around her. Carol had a feisty spirit and was a “take charge” type of person. She was a protestant by faith.
Carol’s request for cremation was honored.
She will be interred by her parents at Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Carol Lynn Woolridge.
