Jay Boyle

BOYLE

Jay Bernard Boyle, 93, passed away on April 16, 2026. He was a loving husband to Elizabeth (Betty) for 65 years and a devoted father to three children.

Jay was preceded in death by his wife and passed away at home, near his oldest daughter in Parsons, West Virginia. He was surrounded by faithful family members and caregivers at the end of his life.

Jay was born in 1932, in Flushing, Queens, and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War era. The Marines gave Jay a taste for travel, and he explored many parts of the world with Betty, especially Europe and Asia.

Jay considered New York home. He loved the state, particularly Eastern Long Island. As a teenager, he worked harvesting shellfish in Jamesport and later enjoyed piloting friends and family around the waterways of Long Island and New York City in his Grady White named âNot to Worry.ã The family always resided around water, in Manhasset and Westhampton Beach, New York and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Jay built a career in the construction materials and aggregates industry in New York, building expertise and relationships across the Northeast. He held executive and ownership positions with companies that built much of the infrastructure in the New York metropolitan region.

He was deeply embedded in his community as president of the Plandome Heights Civic Association. He was also a board member of Ladycliff College, a Catholic liberal arts college in Highland Falls, New York. He had ongoing charitable commitments to the St. Francis Breadline in New York City.

Jay is survived by his daughters, Barbara Weaner and Elizabeth Boyle; his son, Brian Boyle; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
