Dottie Lou (Turner) Hanlin Hawley, 84, of Reedsville, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born in Onego, West Virginia, on April 12, 1942, a daughter of the late Ulysses Simpson and Gladys (Huffman) Turner. Dottie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She was a hard worker, working as a factory laborer in the automotive industry for Ohio Rubber. Dottie enjoyed traveling, the outdoors, and gardening, she was really looking forward to these activities as the weather began warming up. She loved everyone she met and everyone she met loved her.

Above all her greatest joy was her family: her husband, kids, grandkids, siblings, nieces and nephews. Dottie is survived by her loving husband, Donald Hawley of Reedsville; two sons, Randall Hanlin and Gregory Hanlin; daughter, Cathie Lawrence and husband, Floyd; step-son Larry Hawley and wife, Chandel; step-daughter, Corenia and husband, Tommy; four grandchildren, Maranda and husband, Josh, Cory and wife, Josie, Aliah and Allicen; two step-grandchildren, Kayla and Ashley; one soon-to-be great-grandchild; twin brothers, Jerry Turner and Larry Turner; sister, Leah Woods; sister-in-law, Sue Adkins, and her children, Tammy and Billy; many beloved nieces and nephews; and mother-in-law, Velma Hawley.

In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by two sisters, Reba and husband, Bill, and Shirley Kauffman; two brothers, Lawrence Turner and Jeral Turner; nephew, Jeral Wayne Turner, and brother-in-law, Barry Adkins.

Friends may call at Field Funeral Home on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service time with Pastor Teresa Prince officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
