ELLINGTON
Edwin ‘Eddie’ Lewis Ellington, 75, a resident of Mill Creek passed from this life Friday, May 8, 2026, at Vandalia Health Davis Medical Center in Elkins.
Eddie was born Monday, Sept. 18, 1950, in Nueremberg, Germany, a son of the late Earl Fitzhugh Ellington Sr. and Eleanor Virginia Berry Ellington.
He was married to Carmen Erika Heine Lambert, who survives. They had celebrated 23 years together.
Also left to cherish Eddie’s memory is a son, Edwin Ellington Jr. and partner, Tonya; a daughter, Becky Ellington and partner, Carlos; four step-children, Felina Martin and husband, Mike, Sonya Anderson and partner, Ronnie, Jennifer Herbert and husband, John, and Janice Harvey; seven grandchildren, Alic, Thor, Nathaniel, Issac, Kaiden, Michael and Alexander; and numerous other grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews.
Eddie was the last surviving member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Ellington Jr. and wife, Margaret, and George Ellington; two sisters, Beth Myers and Doris Feagens and husband, Earl.
Eddie worked many various jobs throughout his life usually involving construction but always working to take care of his family. He loved the outdoors, watching westerns, and living in West Virginia. He was quite the master at playing âSkipBoã cards. He loved being around family and friends and always knew how to make someone laugh usually by picking or joking around.
His kind and loving heart enjoyed giving even though he didn’t have very much in the way of material possessions. Most of all, he loved all of his grandkids watching them play, argue, and grow. Definitely a one-of-a-kind man was Eddie, and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Eddie’s request for cremation will be honored.
The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Edwin “Eddie” Lewis Ellington.
