Jeanette Louise Smith Hubbard, 66, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Saturday, May 16, 2026, at WV Caring Hospice Inpatient Facility in Elkins following a brief illness.

Jeanette was born Sunday, July 5, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Michael William “Bill” Smith and Charlene Louise Cave Smith, who survives.

On Feb. 4, 1989, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she was married to David “Dave” Michael Hubbard, who survives. They had celebrated 37 years of marriage.

Also left to cherish Jeanette’s memory is her daughter, Amber Noel Gibson of Elkins; her grandson, Gabriel “Gabe” Isaiah Gibson; three brothers, Randy Smith and wife, Stacy, of Valley Bend, Robert “Bob” Smith and wife, Lisa, and Ricky Smith, all of Elkins; one nephew, James; four nieces, Mandy, Collene, Kayla and Shana; and many friends.

Jeanette was a graduate of Kennard-Dale High School of Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania. She had worked as a legal secretary for David Hart before becoming disabled. She was a loving, kind and generous person with a heart for people. Known for her ability to diffuse contentious situations, she was able to bring people to peaceful resolutions. She also had a resiliency that allowed her to help other people in spite of the pain from her disability. She enjoyed crafting and riding along with her daughter to discover the scenery of West Virginia. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all those who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Friday, May 22, 2026.

The casket will be open from 6 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., at which time the casket will be closed, and a time of visitation will continue from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

On Saturday, there will be a celebration of Jeanette’s life at 253 Laurel Mt. Road, Montrose, WV, at 2 p.m.
