Pauline Sandra Lewis, 86, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life early Monday morning, May 11, 2026, at Mansfield Place at Philippi, West Virginia. She had been in declining health for the past year.
She was born Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1940, at Beverly, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Gilbert Spencer Lewis and Eva Nan Simmons Lewis. She had never married.
Surviving are one daughter, Judith Gay âJudyã Booth and husband, Terry, of Philippi; two brothers, Don Eddie Lewis of California, and Jim S. Lewis and wife, Lois, of Philippi; two grandchildren, Chad Michael Booth and wife, Amanda, of Philippi, and Ryan Scott Booth and fiance, Heather Meadows, of Valley Bend; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Alexis Booth, Brealeigh Noel Booth and Knox Theodore Booth; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, W. Richard Lewis and Dan J. Lewis; two sisters, Shirley Geneva Coontz and Edna Marie Wentz; one niece, Christina Fay Wentz; and one nephew, Kelvin Dewayne Wentz.
Pauline was a graduate of Beverly High School with the class of 1958. After school she had lived in Philippi before moving to D.C. Metropolitan Area where she had worked at various companies as a secretary. Upon returning to Elkins, she had worked in house care for the elderly. Pauline was an avid reader.
A Private Service will be conducted with the Reverend Kevin Gainer officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, West Virginia.
