Robert ‘Bob’ Lloyd Barkley

Bob was born Sunday, March 2, 1958, a son of the late Robert Oscar Barkley and Geraldine May Johnson Barkley.

On April 25, 1981, in Moundsville, he was married to the former Mary Ann Bonar, who survives.

They had celebrated forty-five years of marriage.

Also left to cherish Bob’s memory are three children, Kathy Peaslee and husband, Charles, of Valley Bend, Crystal Garner and husband, Terrance, of Pittsburgh, and Brian Barkley of Elkins; three grandchildren, Dylan Kittle and companion, Crystal White, Zach Kittle and Avery Garner; one sister, Julie Chenoweth and husband, Jeff, of Florida; one brother-in-law, Dennis Dunham of Elkins; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Bob in death besides his parents was a sister, Connie Dunham.

Bob was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1976. He had worked as a steel fabricator for Reckart Equipment. His work carried over into an enjoyment of painting and working on cars. He also appreciated time spent fishing and watching dirt track racing and NASCAR. He treasured his quiet life and spending time with his family including trips to the beach. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club.

Bob’s request for cremation will be honored with no services.

The Randolph Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangement for Robert “Bob” Lloyd Barkley.
