Sandra Kay Ball Coberly

Sandra Kay Ball Coberly, 69, a resident of Beverly, West Virginia, departed this life Tuesday morning, May 19, 2026, at the University Hospital Geauga Medical Center at Chardon, Ohio.

She was born Sunday, Nov. 25, 1956, at Parsons, West Virginia, a daughter of the late W. Gay Ball and Pearl L. Strawderman Ball.

On March 3, 1993, at Beverly, West Virginia, she was married to Gary Lynn Coberly, who preceded her in death Sept. 22, 2008.

Surviving is one daughter, Lori Ann Cale and husband, Roger, of Parsons; two grandchildren, Bailey Cale and Dylan Cale; two sisters, Virginia “Vergie” Rosier of St. George and Margaret A. Williams of Pifer Mountain; her companion, Robert Thompson of Beverly; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceding her in death are one brother, Bobby G. Ball; and three sisters, Delores F. Morral, Mary O. Kisamore and Betty J. Godwin.

Sandra attended St. George Elementary School and was a graduate of Parsons High School with the Class of 1975. She had worked as a cook at Blackwater Falls State Park and was a member of the Orlena United Methodist Church, where her and her sister enjoyed singing together.

Sandra enjoyed word search puzzles, working puzzles, watching Gunsmoke and game shows. She loved interacting with her friends, had a very close relationship with her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

Final Rites will be conducted, from the funeral home, Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The Rev. Jerry L. Helmick will officiate and interment will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery at Beverly, West Virginia.
