Anna Christina Ware Yanosik
Anna Christina Ware Yanosik, 95, a resident of Valley Head, passed from this life on Friday, June 12, 2026, at WV Caring Hospice Inpatient Center in Elkins with her daughter by her side.
Anna was born Thursday, Dec. 4, 1930, in Valley Head a daughter of the late Bishop Ware and Opal Pritt Ware. On Jan. 26, 1956, in Maryland, she married Walter Thomas Yanosik, who preceded her in death in 2003.
Left to cherish Anna’s memory is her daughter, Christina Yanosik of Valley Head; two nieces, Bobbi Curtis of Highland Park and husband, Brad, and Garilee Mallow and husband, Billy, of Montrose; three nieces, Mariah, Jasmine, and Ariel; and her two cats, Nick and April.
Preceding Anna in death besides her parents and husband were two brothers, Dorsey Ware and Sherwood Ware.
Anna attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, planting and tending to her flowers, and watching the birds. She attended Calvary Assembly of God Church in Valley Head.
A graveside service will be held in Valley Head Cemetery on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 2 p.m. Pastor Dave Powell will officiate, and interment will follow.
