Frances Kesler Holcomb Holliday

She was born Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1926, at Fayetteville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William Guy Kesler and Lillie Belle Argabright Kesler.

She was twice married.

First, on Aug. 31, 1946, at Hico, West Virginia, to Clyde Holcomb, who preceded her in death July 2, 1948.

Second, on March 10, 1950, at Witchita Falls, Texas, to James Holliday, who preceded her in death, Nov. 17, 1973.

Surviving are one son, Michael Eugene Holcomb and wife, Katherine, of North Haven, Connecticut; six grandchildren, Kimberly Holcomb Reese, Michael Scott Holcomb, Natalie Sterbenz, Jennifer Doll, Marlena Pacapelli and James Crichfield; and 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are one son, Richard William Holcomb; and two daughters, Linda Kaye Holliday, and Brenda Faye Holliday Bray.

She attended West Virginia Grade Schools and was a graduate of West Haven High School at West Haven Connecticut with the Class of 1945. She had worked as a Division Manager for Sears in Connecticut, as a Secretary for the Moose Club for 20 years and as Secretary for the Eagles Club for 10 years,

She was a member of the Lookout Baptist Church at Fayette County, West Virginia, and was a Baptist by faith.

She was a member of the H. W. Daniels Post 29, American Legion Auxiliary, the 8/40 American Legion Auxiliary, and the Aerie 2344 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Jennette Cemetery at Lookout, West Virginia.

Pastor Ann Fretwell will officiate and interment will follow.
