Rita Postlethwait

Rita was born on March 25,1965 in Oahu, Hawaii. Rita is the daughter of the late Joseph Anderson and Diana Anderson of Moundsville, West Virginia.

She is survived by her beloved partner, Varis Canfield; sons, Christopher Postlethwait and daughter-in-law, Bri, of Wheeling West Virginia, Nicholas Postlethwait and daughter-in-law, Paige, of Mill Creek West Virginia; stepson, Kevin Canfield and daughter-in-law, Laura, of Clay, West Virginia; and sisters, Lisa Rowan and Sheila Anderson. She was blessed with seven beautiful grandchildren, Ellie, Aurora, and Damon Postlethwait, Wyatt, Colt, and Brant Starcher and Braxton Canfield.

Rita had the beautiful opportunity to live in many places around the world like Hawaii and Germany due to her father being in the U.S. Military. She was well known for her creativity, her crafts, her cooking, and her love of making homemade gifts. She was a beloved member of multiple communities including Moundsville, West Virginia, Elkins, West Virginia, and Ivydale, West Virginia, and will be missed by all. H

er memories will live on by those who knew and loved her in life. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and a family who loves her. Those who knew her will forever cherish the moments spent with her and will carry on her memory as a friend, sister, mother, and Grandmother.
