Robert Dayton “Bobby” DeMotto Sr., 64, a resident of Norton, West Virginia, departed this life Wednesday evening, July 22, 2026, at the Mon Health Medical Center at Morgantown, West Virginia. He had been declining in health for the past two weeks.
He was born Wednesday, Feb. 21, 1962, at Elkins, West Virginia, a son of the late Fred Gerald DeMotto Jr. and Carol Bennett DeMotto and companion, Frank of Elkins.
Also surviving are one son, Robert Dayton “BJ” DeMotto Jr; one sister, Crystal Sharp and husband, Delbert, of Akron, Ohio; his companion, Anita M. Dunn of Norton; two special grandsons, Ealin and TD; and his favorite niece, Taylor Ferguson.
He was a graduate of Coalton High School. Bobby had worked in construction and for the past 15 years he worked for the Workforce. He had a love for bikes, camping, hunting, fishing and took great pride in his yardwork. Bobby loved his animals.
Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, West Virginia. The Rev. Danny Linger will officiate and interment will follow.
