Robert Franklin Lambert
LAMBERT
Robert Franklin Lambert, 93, a resident of Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life Monday morning, July 6, 2026, at his home with his loving wife by his side and under the care of West Virginia Caring.
He was born Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1932, at Rowlesburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Everett Elsworth Lambert and Leota Rosella Hebb Lambert.
On April 6, 1951, at Mt Lake Park, Maryland, he was married to the former Julia Joanne Bozic, who survives. They had celebrated 75 years of marriage and spent most of their lives in Porterwood, West Virginia.
In addition to his loving wife, Robert is survived by his son, John Lambert and wife Karen of Grayson, Kentucky; and daughter Charlotte Lambert Riffle of Oracle, Arizona; four grandchildren, Robert E. Lambert and wife, Jennie, Tracey Lambert Moore and husband, Scott, Layla Riffle and Steve Riffle and partner, Sarah; nine great-grandchildren, Brittany, Austin, Sydney, Levi, Tyler, Brody, Seth, Jeffrey and Wyatt; and five great-great-grandchildren, Jace, Hadley, Ainsley, Beau and Josephine.
Preceding him in death is one sister, Betty Bedford.
He attended Rowlesburg Grade School from kindergarten until sixth grade and was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1950. He then attended correspondence classes for the Ministry and was a Lay Speaker. He was a certified scuba diver and a well-respected taxidermist.
He had previously worked at the Woolen Mill, had worked construction and retired as Postmaster. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and camping.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, West Virginia, Friday, July 10, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Friday at 1 p.m. Pastor John Lambert will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, West Virginia.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Elkins First Church of the Nazarene, 201 Nazarene Loop, Elkins, WV 26241.
