Ruby June (Tallman) Fallen

Mrs. Ruby June (Tallman) Fallen, 94, a resident of the Audra Park Road in Belington, departed this life early Saturday morning July 4, 2026, at her residence. Death was following a period of declining health.

She was born Nov. 14, 1931 at Belington, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Herbert Wellington and Beulah England Tallman.

On Feb. 22, 1952, she was united in marriage to Clifford Wesley Fallen, who preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 2007.

Those left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and a whole host of friends, including her K-9 companion, Jake.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by six sisters, Lenora Ferrebee, Pauline Phares, Irene âPidã Poling, Glenola Highman, Betty Campbell and Iona âShortã Suder. Ruby was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Ruby attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate of the Belington High School with the class of 1948. She was a homemaker, and formerly attended the Grace Chapel United Methodist Church until its closing, she was presently attending the Concord Community Church. She enjoyed hunting ginseng, walking in the woods, spending time with her family and all the children in the community. She was a wonderful cook, she loved to bake and enjoyed spending countless hours in her garden and she could always be seen mowing and weed eating her yard, which she took great pride in.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington on Wednesday July 8, 2026 from 10 a.m.-noon. At noon, there will be a funeral service conducted from the Talbott Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jamie Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington.
