Susan Elaine Blievernicht Serrett, 71, a resident of Mill Creek passed from this life Sunday, July 26, 2026, at WV Caring Hospice Inpatient Center in Elkins.
Susan was born on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1954, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Speed and Yvonne Faye Armstrong Valentine. She was married to Larry Allen Serrett, who survives.
Also left to cherish Susan's memory are her two daughters, Melodee Rader and Melissa Lanham (Johnny); her sister, Candy Lanham (Steve Phillips); her eight grandchildren, Victor Serrett (Kristen), Dillion Woods, Alyssa Sutton, Andrew, Isaac, Liam and Maddox Serrett (Kimberly) and Jordan Rader; and her two great-grandchildren, Kason Sutton and Jaxson Serrett.
Preceding Susan in death besides her parents were maternal grandparents, Doyle and Georgia Armstrong; her sister, Katie Channell; her oldest son, Robbie Serrett; her grandson, Alexander Rader; her mother and father-in-law, Juanita and Robie Serrett; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Susan was a graduate of Tygarts Valley High School with the class of 1972. She worked various jobs over the years from Mountain Valley Bank to Bulldog Video to Snowshoe. Ultimately, she was a homemaker that took great care of her family as well as others around her.
She was a well-known baker and bread maker. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Susan's request for cremation was honored.
