Mary Lou Wegman Miller, 71, a resident of Mill Creek passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of WV Caring.
Mary was born Sunday, Sept. 26, 1954, in Valley Bend, a daughter of the late Lela Markley Wegman and Charles Wegman.
Left to cherish Mary's memory is her beloved fiance, Thomas Jones of Mill Creek; two daughters, Jennifer McCrary and Angela Jones of Valley Bend; one son; Travis Miller of Belington; two stepdaughters, Candice Powers of Mobile, Alabama, and Crystal Schaefer of Philippi; three brothers, John Wegman of Mill Creek, Stanley Wegman of Elkins, Rex Wegman and wife, Sonya, of Mabie; a sister-in-law, Danielle Wegman of Chicora, Pennsylvania; and 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Mary in death besides her parents was her first husband, James Emerson Miller; six brothers, Junior Wegman and wife, Shirley, Jimmie Wegman and wife, Wanda, William Wegman, Phillip Wegman and wife, Barbara, Robert Wegman and wife, Debra, and Franklyn Wegman; two sisters, Edith Byrd and husband, William and Ettie Grey and husband, Robert; two sisters-in-law, Lisa Wegman and Sandra Wegman; and a niece, Barbara Wegman.
Mary attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. Words to describe Mary would be loving, giving, caring, selfless and genuine. She loved her family and her community. She was a member of the Valley Bend Church of Christ.
Without a single complaint, the family would like to thank the staff of WV Caring for the excellent care they provided to Mary
Visitation will be held at Randolph Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, from 5 until 7 p.m., the funeral hour. Rev. Tim Rennix will officiate, and Mary's request for cremation will follow.
