Nora Katheryne Faunce

FAUNCE

Nora Katheryn (Worden) Faunce, 75, of Davis, West Virginia, passed away on June 30, 2026, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, after a period of declining health.

Born on Nov., 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy M. (Dawson) and Gene D. Worden.

Nora graduated from Mountaineer High School in 1969, and married the love of her life on April 20, 1975. Together they shared 51 years of marriage. They were blessed with one son, David Faunce âLD,ã who preceded her in death. An avid skier, Nora worked at both Timberline and Canaan Valley Resort, where she shared her love of skiing by teaching many others. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found great joy in the beauty of the mountains she called home. Nora was a sweet soul with a free spirit. She loved her faithful dog, Lola, and treasured the simple pleasures of life and nature.

She was a Lutheran by faith and attended the Lutheran church in Davis. Nora will be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, David Faunce; brothers, Gene Worden, George Worden and wife, Marsha, Eddie Worden and wife, Barbara, and Tim Worden; nieces, Tammy, Heather, Melinda, Cindy and Stacy; and several great nephews and nieces.

Noraás request to be cremated has been honored, and no services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
