Joan Yates, 89, departed her life on Sept. 15, 2026, peacefully at her home after a brief illness.
Born in Bromborough, England, Joan was devoted homemaker that enjoyed life, her legacy will be carried on by her beautiful family.
She is survived by children, Patricia Galford, Paul (Sue) Yates, Donna Carr (Mark Dague), Andy (Sherry) Yates, James (Lisa) Yates and Ron (Linda) Yates; grandchildren, Amy (John) Chenoweth, Jodi (John) Jones, Jeremy (Laurie) Yates, Chrystal (Junior) Talbott, Janice (Bryan) Hayes, Micheal (Ashly) Carr, Samantha (Jeff) Nelson, Jessica Carr, Kate (Justin) Sharp, Debbie (Donnie) Huffman, Kaylee Yates, Alisha Yates, Bethany Yates, Erica (Bill) Bennett and Brandon (Tiffany) Yates; great-grandchildren, Tylin (Hanna), Bai (Carly), Callie, Shiloh, Morgan, Amber, Emily, Kaya, Mason, Riley, Elijah, Austin, Owen, Conner, Elizabeth, Addi, J.D., Nicole, Kayla, David, Cameron, A.J., Katelyn, Leah, Shawn, Bentlee, Braylee, Brayden, Paislee, Brantlee, LynnLee and Ceylan; and great-great-grandchildren, Kyler and Lincoln.
Preceding her in death was her parents, Eric and Violet Davies; three sisters, Marion, Barbara and Ruby; son-in-laws, David Carr and EM Galford; and one grandson, Zachary Yates.
No services will be held at this time. Joan’s wishes have been honored through donation to the Human Gift Registry, WVU School of Medicine.
