Marlene Warner Ledbetter

Marlene Warner Ledbetter, 89, of Buckhannon, West Virginia, died Friday, Sept 4, 2026, at her home.

She was born July 29, 1937, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Guy Sexton and Frantie Louise Wilfong Warner. On March 9, 1957, she married Walter Mack Ledbetter Jr., who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1993. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Marple and Ethel Miller.

She is survived by one daughter, Datha Diane Powers of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Datha Danielle Small and husband, Elvis Lee Jr., of Fairmont, West Virginia; one grandson, Steven Nicholas Powers of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Zephaniah Christian Small of Fairmont; several nieces and nephews and special neighbors, Larry Harvey, Richard and Thelma Myers and Sue and Bill Michaels all of Buckhannon.

Mrs. Ledbetter was a bookkeeper and a Baptist by faith. She loved oil painting and was the caregiver for her parents and husband.

Friends were received Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service was 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial followed in Buckhannon

Memorial Park in Buckhannon.
