Sandra “Beth” Smith Crigler, 58, a resident of Elkins, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026.
She was born April 9, 1968, in Elkins a daughter of Jerry Calvin Smith and Ruth Teter Smith, who survive in Elkins. On Sept 11, 2021, in Elkins, she married John Michael Crigler Jr., who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving is a daughter, Angellea “Lea” Crawford and husband, Wes, of Coalton; a brother. David Smith and wife. Jamie, Elkins; a sister, Chrissy Long and husband, Richard, of Elkins; two grandchildren, Gemma and Logan Crawford; and several close family members also survive.
Beth attended the schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Elkins High School and attended Davis & Elkins College. She was formerly employed by 22nd Century Technologies in Elkins.
She enjoyed painting, crafting, music and taking pictures. She loved raising and caring for her flowers and she loved horses.
Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steve Wymer officiating. Cremation will follow.
