William Michael Buchanan

BUCHANAN

William Michael “Bill” Buchanan, 29, a resident of Parsons, West Virginia, departed this life Monday morning, Oct 5, 2026, at his home. Death was unexpected.

He was born Wednesday, June 11, 1997, at Elkins, West Virginia, a son of Harold Lee Buchanan and companion, Teresa Brinegar, of Parsons and Marjorie Ellen Minear of St. George. Also surviving are one sister, Elizabeth Ann Buchanan of St. George; special cousins, Andy Minear of St. George, Samantha Gates and husband, Patrick, of Stemple Ridge and Shasta Streets and husband, Brandon, of Parsons; uncle, Steve Minear and Deanna of St. George; and several cousins and many friends.

Preceding him in death are his twin brother, James Delbert Buchanan; maternal grandparents, Donald and Yvonne Minear; paternal grandmother, Judith Ann Buchanan; paternal great grandparents, Don and Nina Buchanan, maternal great grandparents, Bill and Leah Minear and Allen and Mary Shahan; and special aunt, Madonna Burns.

He was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 2015. He had worked at the Shop àn Save at Davis for several years and was currently working at Sunrise Sanitation.

You would often see âWild Billã in his Stetson hat. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting, video games and he loved music. Bill had a comical sense of humor and enjoyed making people smile.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Final rites will be conducted on Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, at 11 a.m. Pastor Donna Bolinger will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Graveside service will take place at the Parsons City Cemetery on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, at 11 a.m.
