Linda Marie Hansen, 67, of Philippi and formerly of Elkins, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, after a lengthy illness.
Linda was the youngest child of Donald and Joyce Hansen, born on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1959, in Painesville, Ohio.
Left to remember her are two sons, Brian Sipe of Barbour County and Elliott Sipe (Bridgett) of Belington; her mother, Joyce Hansen of Elkins; her brother, David (Janet) of Wake Forest, North Carolina; her sister, Andrea (Edward) of Beverly; a special friend, Lou Fajman of Kingsport, Tennessee; a niece and a nephew; several extended family members; and a very special caregiver, Sharyn Coberly.
She was predeceased by her father, Donald; her brother, Christopher; the father or her children, J.D. Sipe; her nephew, Patrick; maternal and paternal grandparents; "grandma Calain"; and several close friends.
She was a Catholic by faith.
Linda worked for several service-oriented organizations in the community. She could be extremely charming. She was always up for some hearty laughs, was quite talented with house plants, and genuinely loved animals.
Linda could light up a room with her smile!
Her wishes for cremation will be honored. A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.
