Floyd Gilbert Estridge Jr. passed away Oct. 20, 2025, at approximately 4 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman on Friday, Oct. 24, 2025 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Ann Fretwell officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Randolph County Humane Society, P. O. Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Floyd Gilbert Estridge Jr. passed away Oct. 20 at approximately 4 a.m. He was born on Oct. 10, 1937, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the only child of the late Floyd Gilbert Estridge, MD, and Helen Elizabeth Estridge. On June 1, 1957, he married Joyce Ramona Betler, who preceded him in death on April 4, 2025. After graduating high school in Berea, Kentucky, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served honorably in the National Security Service.
