Hello and happy new year from Barbour County! I hope that you all had a very merry Christmas.
School resumes in Barbour County on Jan. 6.
There will be a Food Service Worker Permit Class on Jan. 7 at the Market Place in Philippi.
Registration begins at 5:15 pm, with the class starting at 6 p.m.
The cost for a state wide card is $20, and a Barbour County card is $10. Cards are valid for two years. For more information, call Sanitarian Bill Nestor, at the Barbour County Health Dept. at 304-457-1670.
In addition to the monthly classes, the Barbour County Health Department has a weekly Food Service Worker test that will be given every Tuesday from 9 a.m.- 10 a.m. at the health department.
