Congratulations to the Philip Barbour graduating class of 2025. May you accomplish all of your dreams!
Today, May 31, Belington Public Library will be having a cake walk and pulled pork dinner at the Asbury United Methodist Church. The kitchen will open at 4 p.m. and the cake walk begins at 5 p.m.
The last day of school for Barbour County students will be June 3. I hope everyone has a great and safe summer.
Belington will be having their citywide yard sale on June 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by the many sales and see what treasures you can find.
There will be a Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dance on June 13 at the Belington Civic Center from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. The cost will be $25 per couple.
The Barbour County fair Association will be presenting professional bull riding at the fairgrounds on June 13 and 14. Mark your calendars for two jam-packed nights of bull riding, barrel racing and more. Advance tickets are availables. Tickets at the gate will cost more. Children ages 5 and under are free. There will be a Father's Day brunch at Adaland mansion on June 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Harvest Home Catering will be supplying ham, hash brown casserole, scrambled eggs, vegetables, sweet treats, and more.
Crafters and vendors are wanted for the Independence Day celebration at the Barbour County fairgrounds on July 5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Applications are due by June 29. To submit an application or for more information send an email to barbourceos@gmail.com.
There will be a Jeep fest at Battlers Knob on July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come out and join the fun for Jeep lovers of all ages. Prizes will be awarded and it's sure to be a good time.
The Hoppers will be at Battlers Knob on July 25. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 and VIP are $30. To purchase, go to www.battlersknobwv.com
The Belington and Junior fire departments have been having some great raffles to raise money for the fire department needs.
