Ways to support our veterans of combat
More than 20 combat veterans commit suicide every day. The armed forces have many programs to help stem this horrible plight, but I was wondering what you or I could do to help.
If you’re behind a service member in the gas station check-out line, offer to buy their tank of gas and thank them for their service.
If that is beyond your monetary means, just tap them on the shoulder and thank them for letting you sleep better at night.
I can’t help but feel we’ve failed these warriors who stood watch so that I could take my children for a four-wheeler ride. We must do more.
