I see September is half-gone and we are still living and dying with COVID-19. Mr. Ed Brenwalt believes Trump could have zapped this thing early on and he said as much in the Sept. 12 Inter-Mountain. More on that later.
Did Trump try to stop the $2 trillion bonus payments that gave short term relief to citizens who found themselves unemployed and broke? Nancy Pelosi got an additional $3 trillion package to pass in the House but Sen. McConnell said it was too much. Pelosi was simply trying to one-up the Republican $2 trillion package. She said she didn't need Trump to endorse her bill; they would do it without him. Guess who won that one.
In the Sept. 12 letters column Lloyd Price again demonized Trump as if he were the plague itself. I have to say that I too was disappointed at what Trump said about McCain being captured and the "loser" remarks about our soldiers in Afghanistan and elsewhere in the desert. I feel pretty certain that the McCain thing was because of 70 years of "thinking after speaking" and I imagine he would say it differently if it first came up now.
He's used to snapping back at people in his civilian life and it unfortunately takes a while to change that.
And then we have Mr. Brenwalt. He never disappoints. I disobeyed his orders to stop reading further because I was pretty sure he was going to give one of his proselytizing diatribes and since I love fiction literature I just had to keep going. In closing, Mr. Brenwalt, what do you think would have happened if Trump had commandeered all the evening news back there in January and told the nation we had a deadly viral sickness that was uncontained and spreading across the globe and we need to go into survival mode post-haste?
All travel is banned as of right now and no one can leave or enter the country. If anyone but non-essential people leave the house for any reason other than groceries or the doctor you will indeed be punished.
