Recycling events deemed successful
Recently the Randolph County Solid Waste Authority held two recycling events, one for electronics and the other for tires. Each was a big success.
A total of 5,611 pounds of electronics were taken on April 16. We give thanks to the following people and organizations for making this event possible:
Chris Lee of the Phil Gainer Center for the use of the parking lot; the Sanitation Department from the City of Elkins for the use of the roll-off; and the Randolph County Community Corrections and P.C. Renewal of Morgantown.
On April 23 the tire recycling event collected 5,498 tires, or close to 75 tons.
A thank you to: Roger Roy and Tim Senic of Roy’s RV, for the use of their parking lot; Aaron Miller of the DEP;Alan Lambka of Lambka, LLC of Mountain Storm for the labor; Towmar Trucking of Keyser and WVRC for promotions.
And finally, thanks to YOU, for keeping our hills and hollows clean.
Stay tuned for future recycling events.
Clark Martin,
Chairman
