Has the American Dream been killed?
Is the American Dream dead. Does it even matter?
Have you ever wondered what the American dream is? To me it includes owning your own house, starting a family, having a stable job or owning your own business.
Like many of my generation, I grew up believing the American dream. I studied hard, got good grades, and participated in extracurricular activities, and I had access to a high-quality college education.
Flashback to a couple years ago, and think how we got to where we are today.
Unfortunately for today’s younger generation, that dream is dead. Killed by the radical socialist Democrats.
About a year and half ago, we saw the swearing in of a new White House composed of the most radical Democrats, who favor big government handouts, the federalization of local and state governments, and taking a paternalistic approach to interacting with its citizens. This type of bureaucratic dependence, unprecedented government shutdowns and porous southern border spelled significant trouble for every American (specifically those Americans who were not born with a silver spoon in their mouth). It spelled the end of the American Dream.
Americans who have worked hard and played by the rules now fear that they will never be financially successful. They have lost faith in the American Dream. They are disillusioned, and they are showing signs of despair. Both conservative working-class Americans who do not have a college degree and ultra-liberal college-educated millennials are displaying their anger in this president.
Joe Biden and socialist Democrats are leading our nation down a dark economic path of fewer jobs, higher prices and less opportunity. The question is, how many months will Joe Biden’s complete ignorance go on before he realizes his socialist agenda is killing our economy and hurting American families?
The current Democratic administration enforces group-think, group-speak and one government-approved “truth.” They justify censorship knowing they can say what the truth is and label any contrary or disputatious statements or reports as “dangerous misinformation.” The mindset leads inexorably to Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board: his very own “Ministry of Truth.”
By implementing their unsustainable view of America, Democrats have forced the public to respond, shouting the iconic phrase from the 1976 film “Network”: “We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore!”
In school board meetings, by abandoning Twitter, Disney, CNN and the New York Times, when asserting their medical freedom in the face of losing their jobs, and at the ballot box in November, we the people are reaffirming the American dream of liberty, personal responsibility and unlimited opportunity by repudiating Democrats’ authoritarian collectivism.
