Dear Editor,
On behalf of the Mountaineer Chapter of IWLA, we would like to thank the many who attended our annual Buckwheat Feed on Oct. 9. This event is one of the chapter's main fund raiser, along with our Fall Raffle. The day's weather was perfect, and we served approx. 300 people, some visitors from Maine and Tennessee. We would also like to thank the many people who purchased tickets for our Fall raffle. The big winner this year was Beverly resident Gary Warner.
During our Buckwheat feed the Boys Scout Troop 66, from Beverly, helped by serving, busing tables, cleaning and greeting people. We would like to thank the following for spending the day with us. Thanks to Boy Scout Leaders Larry Shaffer, Bill Swecker and Daniel Hardy II. The leaders are extremely proud of their scouts Daniel Hardy III, Anthony Hedrick, Hunter Shaffer and Garret Swecker who showed up and participated in the event. The Chapter really appreciated all their time and hard work.
I personally would like to thank The Inter-Mountain and Trina @at94.7 WELK for letting the community know of our events. We couldn't do it without you!
