I now know what the folks of Florida feel like after the Hurricane. You step outside of your house and you see nothing but devastation. You wonder where to start to get it all cleaned up. That's the way the American people feel like after this past election. They see the damage from the first two years of the Biden administration and they see the damage from the elections.
No matter your party, an election is always bloody. The ones that survived it are usually the ones that created the mess. One of those is Joe Manchin.
Manchin is a lot like the President, he doesn't know what he's doing. With the President, if he's on his meds, he speaks clearly but still doesn't know what he is talking about. With Senator Joe, no meds, he just waits to see which way the wind is blowing.
When the President stated that he would close every coal mine, Sen. Joe pretended to come to the rescue of the miners. Paraphrasing, "You will damage our industry, oust several thousand coal miners from their jobs, thus killing the economy of the state."
What Sen. Joe doesn't realize is he was already killing the coal miner's job. When he voted for the "Inflation Reduction Bill" in July of this year, it not only hurt the coal miner but the rest of the state of West Virginia! We now look at higher prices in heating, food, gasoline… the list goes on.
Sen. Joe stated that he was tricked when New York Sen. Chuck Schumer promised Manchin the world and Schumer and the rest didn't deliver. Do you really thing Manchin is that dumb ? Or is he really that dumb ?
Remember the last bill he voted down? He said the American people couldn't take it financially. What changed your mind, Joe? Good ol' Flip, Floppin' Joe.
On the serious side now, Joe. We have children below the age of 2 that do not have the formula to feed them with. We can't handle this many immigrants as a country. We have homeless veterans and Americans to house, feed. Where's the money gonna come from for a new elementary school in Idaho or bypass for Louisville ?
The middle class are getting hit hard with gas prices. For example, to enter Susie or Billy into Monkey University, for a four-year loan, the parents now have to factor in travel expenses, for the trip to and from good ol' Monkey "U" to deliver and pick up their kid.
Not to mention Food prices going up, up, up. The latest ? We may not have enough of a drug that kills the flu and the common cold and whatever it can cure. Amoxicillin! So who's running the Food and Drug Administration, anyway? Better yet, who's running the country? President Joe ain't.
And Sen. Joe is makin'deals. It is time to truly put the heat on our representatives to call for term limits. Let the Senators and House of Delegates find another way to make money (think about it).
We need fresh ideas. People who really care. I think that those who run for office should be made to work a blue collar job for one year before they can take office. Two terms, think about it. Keep this in mind for the next election.
