Reader looking into modern political lies

3 min read

In my younger years I read that "History is a set of lies agreed upon." The problem today is that there is little agreement on what the lies mean when lies attributed to one party are being used by the other party to achieve the same goal.

Millions of people have seen a video featuring an adorable pair of young siblings. The camera captures their faces smudged with what looks like a dark green substance. A woman identified as their grandmother holding out a bottle of green stuff repeatedly asks if either of them ate what was in the bottle. The green stuff is something called pickle powder, described by manufacturers as both a candy and an ingredient for cooking.

In the video, both kids continue their bold denials, clueless that their green-stained lips give them away. Their sweet green little faces and the earnestness with which they lie is endearing,

I couldn't help but laugh. But then I sobered up, wondering if this is why so many of us don't take lying seriously.

Perhaps the most compelling reason not to lie is that you will always be outed. It may not happen immediately, but there is simply no way to go through life telling lie after lie without someone eventually figuring that out.

Sen. Blumenthal, you did not serve with honor in Vietnam.

Elizabeth Warren, you are not an Indian.

Adam Schiff, you do not have any evidence.

President Biden, you did not graduate at the top of your class, your house never almost burnt down killing you, your wife, your cat and destroying your Corvette. You do know about your son's involvement with foreign governments.

Why do Democrat politicians lie?

They are aided by a media complex that laps it up and uncritically regurgitates it.

This nation doesn't need an ethics lecture from a Democratic Party that lies more than a no-legged dog.

If Trump's lying is a scandal, folks, we need to revisit Obama's tenure, as well as the current administration.

Today, Democrats continue to find new ways to divide America for their own political gain.  They use race and gender to rewrite history.

Another avenue of division they use is class envy to pit poor against rich.

Democrats have used the poor, motivating them to vote against success and reward those who are unambitious. They have used the poor to expand government, telling the poor to give up their individual freedom for more government control in order for the government to care for them from the cradle to the grave. This idea of more government control is socialism, which is a light form of communism, which becomes full government control.

Democrats want you home smoking pot, playing video games and spending the rest of your life in the basement, as a 12-year-old.

The Conservatives' motto should be No American Left Behind, and that includes  all Americans. Conservatives have to help American citizens overcome the despair that the Democrats' propaganda machine is selling.

Most of the so-called problems the Democrats are talking about are the end of the planet, threats to democracy, election supremacy, racism, white supremacy, integrity, capitalism, diversity, equity and inclusion,  all  simply made up.

The real problems we face, rising crime, a weak economy, a rising China, weak borders, all can be addressed with the right policies. Conservatives shouldn't concede any American voter to the Democrats.

Good Day!
