It absolutely sickens me when our government blows through its yearly budget in eight months and then wants to borrow more to keep the government running.
They have given hundreds of billions away to countries (Ukraine) that then pocket the money for personal gain. There is no accountability as to where the money actually ends up, and corruption is everywhere.
I say no more! We can't survive as a country by borrowing money to give away, increasing our national debt to a point we cannot ever hope to pay off.
It's time for a balanced budget. If I can do it would it be too much to assume our government can too? Let the world fight its own battles while we as a nation fix our own financial crisis.
I for one would not balk at higher taxes if I knew the money was being spent to fix our country.
