Reader gives response to political letter
This is a response to the letter by Vic White in the Saturday, Sept. 21 edition of The Inter-Mountain. I know Vic. Have known him all my life, but our viewpoints don’t match up.
I don’t have a political sign in my yard now, but after reading his letter I will have soon. It will be a Harris for President sign. According to Vic, if I support Harris it means I support all her views. And mostly I do.
Conversely, if he supports her opponent, Trump, it means he supports most of his views.
Mr. Trump lost me right from the start when he said as a “star” it was his right to grab women in a very personnel manner. His right. I have a wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and several granddaughters. He has no right to touch any of them.
Also, Trump stated that if you were drafted into the U.S. Armed Services you were a “sucker.” Guess I was when I was drafted in 1966, which by the way is when his heels started hurting him.
Also, he said if you were drafted and died then you were not only a sucker, but a “loser.” I had several friends killed in Vietnam after they were drafted and sent over there. They were all good men, not losers or suckers.
I have a lot of trouble with the way he demeans women and people of other races.
Anyway, my sign will be up by the time this makes the paper.
