First Rotary festival deemed a success
Blue Ridge Risk Partners would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Rotary Club of Elkins for hosting a truly remarkable event–the Inaugural International Festival, held on May 17 at Town Square and the Rotary Amphitheater.
As a proud sponsor, we were thrilled to see the community come together for a day filled with culture, entertainment, and generosity. The festival raised over $17,000, with proceeds benefiting Randolph County Schools, local libraries, and other community initiatives. Some of these contributions were distributed during the event, demonstrating the club’s immediate and ongoing commitment to community impact.
The free to attend festival featured eight food vendors, each representing a different country, offering attendees a taste of international cuisine. Activities such as Irish Road Bowling and a Cornhole Tournament added a fun and competitive spirit to the day, while live entertainment kept energy high from morning through evening.
A major highlight was the raffle, which offered ticket holders the chance to win prizes every five minutes for three hours. Thousands of dollars in prizes–including cash, sporting event tickets, and golf packages–were awarded, making the event both exciting and rewarding for attendees.
We commend the Rotary Club of Elkins, especially its Board of Directors and volunteers, for their hard work and vision in organizing such a successful and meaningful event. It was a wonderful celebration of community and culture, and we look forward to seeing this festival grow in the years to come.
