Rotary Club shows gratitude

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Elkins, we offer our heartfelt thanks to all who supported our International Festival, allowing us to award $13,238.98 in grants to many of our local schools and libraries: Elkins High School, Elkins Middle School, the Elkins-Randolph County Public Library, Pickens High School, Pioneer Memorial Library, Randolph Technical Center, Russell Memorial Library, Third Ward Elementary School, Tygarts Valley Middle/High School and Valley Head Library.

The Randolph County Commission sponsored the event and Davis Trust Company sponsored the day’s entertainment. J.F. Allen, Blue Ridge Risk Partners and Valley Health Care provided hourly sponsorships with Citizens Bank of West Virginia sponsoring Irish Road Bowling. Kolsun Media provided the winners’ plaques for road bowling and the corn hole tournament that was put on by Dawgpound Cornhole.

Thanks are also extended to the restaurants and beverage vendors who joined us for the day, providing delicious bites and cooling beverages for the day. Gingrollandpancit, Henry’s at Graceland Inn, Oxley House and the Railyard Event and Conference Center provided tasty snacks while Big Timber Brewing, Northern Eagle Distributing, Old Spruce Brewing and Tygart Valley Distributors supplied the day’s beverages.

Many businesses, individuals and Rotary members provided the prizes for the day, allowing more of the proceeds from the day to be distributed to schools and libraries. Many thanks to Bridgeport County Club, Citizens Bank of West Virginia, Clementine’s Cantina, Davis & Elkins College, Davis Trust Company, Delmonte Market and Tammy’s Floral, Durbin and Greenbrier Valley Railroad, Elkins Cinema 8, Elkins Sewing Center, Elkins YMCA, Gingrollandpancit, Graceland Inn and Henry’s Restaurant, Harris Family Chiropractic, Historic Beverly, Louie’s Bargain Warehouse and Golf Simulator, Old Brick Playhouse, Papa Johns of Elkins, Propst Realty, Raven Golf Course, Jennifer Riggleman, Seneca Realty, Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort, Shop ‘N Save, Timberline Mountain Ski Resort, Christy Tribble and Karen Wilmoth.
