TENNERTON -- The Buckhannon-Upshur soccer teams swept Big 10 Conference rival Elkins Thursday on senior night.
The Lady Bucs posted a 5-1 win over the Lady Tigers in Thursday's first match.
In the nightcap, the B-U boys claimed a 9-1 victory to end the regular season with a 15-3-2 mark.
The Bucs have not lost a game since Sept. 4, going 9-0-2 during that span.
Soccer regional action will now begin next week.
Elkins High will compete in the Class AAA, Region II, Section 2 tournament, along with Lewis County, Philip Barbour, Pendleton County and South Harrison.
The pairings are expected to be released today and action will start on Monday.
The pairings for the Class AAA, Region I, Section 2 tournament have been set.
The Lady Bucs are the top seed and will host No. 4 Preston at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
No. 3 University will host No. 4 Morgantown in the other semifinal on Tuesday.
The winners will meet next Thursday at the site of the highest remaining seed.
The B-U boys are also the No. 1 seed and will entertain No. 4 Preston at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
No. 4 University will visit No. 3 Morgantown on the same evening, with the title game set for next Thursday the the highest remaining seed.
