SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- West Virginia Wesleyan overcame a 19-point halftime deficit to rally past Notre Dame College, 101-95, in overtime Saturday evening in Mountain East Conference play at Murphy Gym.
The Bobcats (4-7, 4-2 MEC) trailed 50-31 at the break, but shot 63 % in the second half, including 8 of 13 from behind the arc, to send the game to OT.
Dusan Vicentic led WVWC with 27 points and nine rebounds. Ross Young added 24 points and Clay Todd had 15.
DeAnthony Owens poured in 27 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Falcons (2-8, 1-5). Drew Scarberry connected on six 3-pointers and finished with 24 points. Levi Frankland had 21 points.
The Bobcats will be idle until visiting WVU Tech on Jan. 5.
Urbana 83, D&E 76
URBANA, Ohio -- Urbana earned an 83-76 home MEC win over Davis & Elkins Saturday afternoon at the Grimes Center.
With the win, the Blue Knights moved to 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the MEC, while the Senators dropped to 4-7 overall and 2-4 in conference play.
Mario Lacey had a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the winners. Jordan Bradley had a team-high 21 points and Shaunn Monroe came off the bench to score 14.
Donte Doleman was one of four D&E players in double figures with a game-high 23 points. Kyle Leslie followed with 13 points, going 3 of 4 from behind the arc, while Elkins High School product Elliot White posted a career-high 11 points.
Myles Monroe scored 11 and added a team-best nine rebounds and two steals. Mandela Baledrokadroka handed out five assists.
D&E will travel to Ohio Valley at 6:30 p.m. today for a non-conference tilt.
