Host Harman squads move to title games

Both earn wins vs. Morgantown Christian in tournament action

HARMAN — Braydan Huffman and Mason Eye combined for 30 points as Harman claimed a 58-34 win over Morgantown Christian Academy in Harman Tournament play on Friday afternoon.

The Panthers (2-0) will face either Highland County (Va.) or Salisbury (Pa.) at 7 p.m. today in the championship game.

Huffman finished with a game-high 16 points, followed by Eye with 14 for Harman, which led by 10, at 27-17, at the intermission before outscoring MCA 21-6 in the third frame.

Silas Beckner and Harrison Linkous each had 13 points for the visitors.

Girls game

Harman 27, MCA 25

HARMAN — Natalie Teter’s basket with 6.7 seconds remaining lifted Harman to a 27-25 win over Morgantown Christian in Harman Tournament action on Friday.

The Lady Panthers (1-2) will play in the title game at 5 p.m. today.

Teter led Harman with 10 points, followed by Alison Warner with eight and Emily Marple with seven.

Kate Williams paced MCA with 12 points, while Cara Wolf chipped in with five points.
