Junior fires in 31 points and grabs 26 rebounds as Lady Senators capture 75-70 win at Urbana

URBANA, Ohio -- Jamiyah Johnson tied a career-high with 31 points and collected a double-double before halftime as Davis & Elkins played strong defensively down the stretch in a 75-70 MEC road victory at Urbana on Saturday afternoon .

The Lady Senators are now 2-8 overall and 2-4 in the league. The Lady Blue Knights slipped to 6-5 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

Johnson posted her 31 points on 13 of 18 shooting from the floor and added a career-high 26 rebounds (12 offensive).

Johnson's 26 rebounds tied a school record set by Vickie Warehime against CW Post back in January of 1985.

Peyton Mohler pitched in a career-high 16 points along with three rebounds and four assists for D&E, while Jay Kilpatrick and Jessica Eadsforth-Yates had 11 points apiece.

Sylvia Hudson had a team-high 29 points and eight boards for Urbana. Bailey Draughn notched 16 points.

Bailey Draughn added 16 with three 3-pointers and Kami McEldowney tallied 10 points and a career-high eight assists.

D&E will return to action Jan. 2 at Salem University.

Notre Dame 72, Wesleyan 53

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio --Notre Dame earned a 72-53 home win over MEC foe West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon.

Jada Marone led the Lady Falcons (9-1, 5-1 MEC) with 17 points, while Seina Adachi added 14.

Cierra Tolbert had 13 points and seven rebounds to lead the Lady Bobcats (3-7, 1-5), who will visit Alderson Broaddus on Saturday.

AB 94, Ursuline 78

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- Hannah Henderson scored 22 points to lead Alderson Broaddus over Ursuline, 94-78, Saturday in G-MAC play.

Jeana Weatherspoon added 18, Madeline Moyer 14 and Yolanda Florido 13 for the Lady Battlers.
