The Elkins Middle School Hornets earned a 48-45 win over Buckhannon-Upshur Monday.
ELKINS -- The Elkins Middle School boys basketball teams swept Buckhannon-Upshur Monday night at EMS gymnasium.
Brock Holland scored 13 points and Isaiah Merritt 12 as the Hornets claimed a 48-45 win in the varsity game to improve their record to 8-3.
Jaden Westfall had a game-high 19 points and Ian Strader 10 for the Little Bucs.
Aiden Lambert fired in 18 points as the Hornets (8-1) cruised to a 45-25 victory in the junior varsity contest.
Dylan Hinzman added seven in the win.
Jevon Westfall's 12 points paced B-UMS.
Elkins will play host to Belington on Wednesday. Junior varsity action is set for 6 p.m., followed by the varsity tilt.
