DUNMORE -- Class A, No. 9 Pocahontas County claimed a 66-49 victory over sectional foe Midland Trail on Friday night.
Charity Warder led the Lady Warriors (7-3) with 17 points and seven rebounds, followed by Kira Bircher with 15 points, five steals and four blocked shots, and Laila Calhoun with 13 points and four caroms.
Sienna Bircher also had six rebounds and Alexa Taylor dished out eight assists for the winners.
Pocahontas jumped out to a 27-9 lead after one quarter and led 38-22 at the intermission.
The Lady Warriors will travel to James Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
In the junior varsity game, Sara Stull bucketed 12 points and Makenzie Moyers seven to lead Pocahontas County to a 54-16 victory.
