LOST CREEK -- South Harrison placed four players in double figures in pulling away from Tygarts Valley, 60-49, on Tuesday night.
The contest was tied at 23-23 at the intermission before the Lady Hawks built a 41-36 cushion entering the final frame.
"It was a good game," Lady Bulldogs coach Nancy Lewis said. "It was close most of the way and they were just able to pull away from from us in the fourth quarter by hitting their free throws.
"Overall I thought we played well and gave a good team effort. We just came up short."
Kylie Saltis had 15 points, Ember Smith 13, Reagan Rudder 12 and Jenna Montgomery 11 to lead South Harrison (6-11).
Abby Lanham fired in a game-high 21 points for Tygarts Valley (4-13).
Abi Cabaniss added 12 rebounds, Tatum Wamsley eight points and seven rebounds and Landrie Lanham six caroms and three assists.
The Lady Bulldogs will compete in WVHIT championship day Saturday at Clay-Battelle High School.
Tygarts Valley will face Greenbrier West at 12:30 p.m.
