ELKINS -- Martin Kelly Jr. collected a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds as Concord held off Davis & Elkins for a 66-61 win Wednesday night in Mountain East Conference action at the McDonnell Center.
The Mountain Lions (9-16, 6-12 MEC) led 33-30 at the half and pushed the deficit to as much as 11 points in the second stanza as a layin from David Mulumba at the 7:15 mark gave the visitors some breathing room at 56-45.
The Senators (6-19, 4-15) battled back, though, and trimmed the lead to a mere two points after a Myles Monroe jumper with 18 seconds remaining cut the deficit to 61-59.
But Concord was able to seal the win by connecting on 5 of 6 shots from the charity stripe in the final 12 seconds of regulation.
