DUNMORE -- Pocahontas County's Laila Calhoun reached another milestone in Wednesday's victory over Tygarts Valley.
On senior night, Calhoun netted her 1,000th career point midway through the third quarter during the Class A, No. 3 Lady Warriors' 70-23 win over the Lady Bulldogs.
She went on to score 23 points, along with grabbing nine rebounds, dishing out six assists and collecting six steals, as Pocahontas County reached improved to 18-4.
On Monday, Calhoun set a school-record with 40 points in a victory over Richwood.
Kira Bircher led the winners with 24 points, eight rebounds and a pair of blocked shots, while Charity Warder chipped in seven points and nine caroms and Jerica Reed six rebounds.
Tygarts Valley, which trailed 14-4 after one quarter and 35-8 at halftime, was led by Abby Lanham, who also eclipsed 1,000 points for her career earlier this season.
Abi Cabaniss added six points and six rebounds and Landrie Lanham six boards.
The Lady Warriors will begin sectional play at 7 p.m. on Wednesday against either Webster County or Richwood.
Tygarts Valley will travel to Doddridge County on Saturday in sectional play.
