Tucker Valley holds off Hornets

Elkins captures 51-34 victory in JV contest

ELKINS — Ashton Lycliter tossed in 22 points as Tucker Valley held off Elkins Middle School, 53-46, Thursday night in varsity play.

In front of a capacity crowd inside EMS gymnasium, the Wildcats stayed undefeated on the season.

The Hornets (11-5) were led by Brock Holland with 15 points, followed by Griffin Boggs with 12.

EMS (13-1) took the JV tilt by a score of 51-34 as Riley Rider netted 19 points and Aiden Lambert 17.

Xander Lambert led Tucker Valley with 10.

Elkins will remain home today to face Philippi. JV action will begin at 6 p.m.

Tucker Valley will visit East Hardy Early on Monday.
