CHARLESTON -- Josh Alt scored 10 of his game-high 25 points in the third quarter as third-seed Pendleton County overcame a halftime deficit to claim a 59-45 win over No. 6 Greenbrier West Tuesday morning in Class A quarterfinal play at the Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center.
The Wildcats improved to 16-0 and claimed their 39th straight victory. They will face second-seed Tug Valley at 11:15 a.m. Thursday in the semifinals.
The Cavaliers (11-8) carried a 30-29 lead into the intermission and extended the margin to three after a jumper by Chase Boggs to start the second half.
