MILL CREEK -- Tygarts Valley used a 12-hit attack in claiming a 6-3 win over Elkins on Wednesday evening.
Adam Woods and Jacob Wamsley each had three hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs, who are now 5-0 in the first year for middle school baseball in Randolph County.
Emory Jack collected two hits for the Hornets, while Andrew Hinzman had an RBI.
Kendall Armstrong went the first 3 1/3 innings to earn the win. He gave up one run on two hits, striking out three and walking two.
Woods and Wamsley also saw time on the mound.
Aiden Lambert took the loss, giving up six runs on 11 hits, fanning six and walking three in 5 2/3 innngs. Dylan Hinzman faced one batter in relief.
The Bulldogs will travel to Tucker Valley on Friday for a doubleheader.
Elkins is slated to host Buckhannon-Upshur at 5 p.m. Tuesday for a twin-bill.
