ELKINS -- Post 29 had a full weekend of action on the diamond, splitting a total of four games on Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday, Post 29 dropped a close decision to South Charleston Post 94, 3-2, one of two games the squad hosted at Robin Harvey Memorial Field during the day.
Cory Reed hit a home run in the second inning on a 1-1 count, bringing two runs to the plate for Post 29, who tallied six hits in all. Reed and Cody Cooper each had two hits for Elkins.
Cooper took the loss for Post 29, allowing eight hits and three runs over seven innings and striking out two.
Earlier on Sunday, Post 29 rolled over Moundsville Post 3 by a score of 14-0.
Post 29 tallied 10 hits, with Nick Hamrick and Gage Bibey notching two hits each. Elkins stole 10 bases, with Bibey swiping three.
Alex Wilson got the win for Elkins, pitching a complete game shutout and allowing four hits. He struck out four and allowed no walks.
On Saturday, Post 29 also defeated Moundsville Post 3, that time by an 8-3 score, as Post 29 played two games at Philip Barbour High School.
Austin Bolyard went 2 for 3 at the plate, leading Post 29 in hits for the game.
Reed was the winning pitcher for Elkins, pitching three innings and allowing one run, striking out two with no walks.
Bibey started the game for Post 29, pitching four innings and allowing two runs on three hits, while striking out six and walking one.
Also on Saturday, Post 29 fell to Garrett County, Maryland by an 11-1 score.
Garrett County pulled away late in the game, which was tied at one in the top of the fourth inning when Garrett County took the lead and never relinquished it.
Post 29 opened up the scoring in the first inning, with Reed's sacrifice fly plating a run.
Zane McCord took the loss for Post 29, giving up five runs on seven hits in three and a third innings, striking out one.
Post 29 is 5-6. On Tuesday the squad will host Riverside at 6 p.m. at Robin Harvey Memorial Field.
